When Kansas lawmakers reconvene April 28, they will be asked to help tackle a projected $467 million shortfall in the state budget with Senate Bill 516 which proposes a hike in Kansas tobacco taxes, a move that will badly backfire, predicts the International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association.
Premium Cigar Association Awards Scholarships to 20 Students Nationwide
Twenty students are attending college this year, each with the help of a $5,000 scholarship from the International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association. The IPCPR has awarded $600,000 in scholarships at the rate of 20 per year since 2004.
